Congratulations to Maree Nutt, Former CEO of RESULTS Australia for her letter published in ‘The Australian Financial Review’ on Tuesday July 2, 2019 about the need for the Australian federal government to “deliver an increased and fair-shared pledge” to The Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

Maree Nutt responded to an article in ‘The Australian Financial Review’ by Bo Seo, that suggested that Head of the Global Fund and ex-bank boss Peter Sands said that the elimination of three deadly diseases (HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria) is within grasp and Australia should commit to at least $250 million for the arduous remaining stages of eradication.

Maree Nutt informed readers that “Japan and the U.K announced increased commitments to the Global Fund during last week’s G20 meeting”, with Theresa May’s announcement of £1.4 billion to the Global Fund will assist to save the lives of more than two million people at risk from these killer infections over the next three years.
