Core Organising Groups

At the heart of RESULTS are our core organising groups. They are groups of passionate, committed everyday people who:

  • bring together like-minded individuals;
  • coordinate local campaign actions; and
  • identify and develop new leaders in their communities.

In doing so, we directly engage in the political process in a non-partisan manner, for example by meeting with and writing to the local MPs and Senators.

The group members come from all walks of life and bring unique skill sets in amplifying our voice and building a strong and sustainable grassroots movement to end global poverty.

In 2019, our Core Organising Groups met with more than 25 Parliamentarians about issues such as tuberculosis and polio. Our efforts led to the Australian government pledging $270 million to multilateral international development initiatives such as the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria and the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.

We are recruiting!
