Our special guest Sam Daley-Harris is the founder of RESULTS International. He also initiated the Microcredit Summit Campaign together with Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus, which has helped more than 100 million families lifting themselves out of extreme poverty.
Hon Tanya Plibersek MP
Hon Tanya Plibersek is the Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development. Tanya has degrees in Communications and Politics and Public Policy. Tanya was elected MP for Sydney in 1998 and is now Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development. Tanya lives in Sydney with her husband and three young children.
Helen Evans is an expert in public health and development and social policy. She has served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance and Deputy Executive Director at the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Brad is the founder of Welcome to Australia, a national movement uniting NGOs, high-profile Australians, political leaders, businesses, the public sector and many individuals in cultivating a culture of welcome for asylum seekers, refugees and other new arrivals to Australia.
Nick is a communications specialist at The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, based in Geneva Switzerland. Nick was previously a manager at Mountain Media and has also worked as a journalist at the ABC.
Hannah is the Director of ACTION Global Health Advocacy Partnership, based in Washington DC. ACTION is a partnership of locally-rooted organisations around the world that advocate for life-saving care for millions of people who are threatened by preventable diseases.
Prashan is the CEO of Chuffed – a new crowdfunding platform for Australian non-profits and social enterprises. Prior to starting Chuffed, he spent 4 years as a strategic advisor to Australian non-profits, foundations and corporates at Social Ventures Australia Consulting.
Hamish is a public affairs and media specialist. He works closely with peak-body organisations, government, business and the not-for-profit sector. He is an adviser on media, content and campaign strategy. He has worked extensively on campaigns that achieve positive social impact.
