Why we love our volunteers  on Valentine’s Day and Every Day

Valentine’s Day is a wonderful time to celebrate those we love and at RESULTS we love our volunteers. 2016 was a big year for RESULTS, and an extremely active year for our wonderful RESULTS Advocates.

Thanks to them, we were able to secure $220 million for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria which will impact hundreds of thousands of lives across the world.

Read more about the activities of our impressive advocates, who have volunteered their time and efforts in 2016 to achieve some awesome RESULTS, in “Growing From the Grassroots”.

From meeting with MPs at electoral forums to getting 3 Senators to co-sign an opinion piece, our wonderful groups of passionate, committed people were kept busy ensuring this pledge would happen, and that about 100,000 lives would be saved as a result. Not bad for a year’s effort!

Here at RESULTS we are able to do what we do – build the political will to end poverty – because of the generous support of our community. Without awesome people volunteering their time to run groups, meet MPs, and write letters, we wouldn’t exist. Not to mention the incredible support we receive from people who fundraise for us, whether it’s by running through mud, walking in a fun run, or hosting a quiz night. Without the support of our fundraisers and donors, we wouldn’t exist.

So we love our volunteers a whole lot for keeping us going for the past 30 years, for getting results and for making RESULTS what it is today.
