Lots of  fun and grooving at last year’s Hobart fundraiser…

Our Sydney Northern Beaches group recently held their annual fashion parade at Blue Illusion. Over bubbles and canapes guests watched the models strut their stuff and did some shopping, with profits going to RESULTS. The event was a little quieter than previous years, and raised $325 – thank you Northern Beaches!

We wish the best of luck to RESULTS Hobart who are getting ready to don their finest 70s threads and dust off their dance moves for their “Rock and Roll High School” 1970s themed fundraiser on Saturday, 20th June.

Keen to run a fundraiser for RESULTS? Then we’re keen to hear from you!

Letters to the Editor

We have been blown away by the success of our Letter Writing Team, ably coordinated by our Communications and Education Manager Camilla Ryberg. The team are so far smashing the target for letters published – we are aiming for 70 for the year, and so far they’ve managed to get 53 letters published! That’s more than all of last year! Special congratulations must go to Sue Packham, with 7 letters published, Peter Graves with 6, and Mike Stickney with 5 – tremendous achievements. By the time you read this there will probably be more!

Workshop – Effective Inviting

Keen to get new people involved in your RESULTS group, but not really sure how to ask them? Get tongue-tied when explaining RESULTS and what we do? Then this is a great workshop for you! Join this one hour workshop by teleconference on Sunday, July 12, 1pm – 2pm AEST.

Meetings with Parliamentarians

RESULTS Adelaide was only launched in April, but they’ve hit the ground running with 3 parliamentary meetings already! And in Sydney, the Partners from our Sydney City group brushed aside their nerves and met with their MP for the first time. This brings our total for 2015 to 10 meetings. We aim to have our grassroots hold 30 parliamentary meetings for the year – so if you’ve asked your MP for a meeting, why not pick up the phone today and follow up your request?
