Access to primary education in developing countries is improving; but the most disadvantaged children, such as girls and children with disabilities, need more attention.

We need to be committed to our goal of education for all, not just those who are easier to reach.

RESULTS Australia’s report on the performance of AusAID, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank indicates that the organisations need to increase their focus on making education accessible for girls and children with disabilities.

Gender and disability must be given greater priority than is currently the case. Better monitoring and evaluation of policies in relation to this needs to take place.
