Asia Pacific parliamentarians commit to reducing TB

As a multi drug-resistant strain of tuberculosis spreads and puts thousands of lives at risk in the Asia Pacifc, it is time to fight back with more research and better treatment.

Papua New Guinea is one of the worst areas affected with 30,000 people contracting tuberculosis every year.

Aide Ganasi is a member of parliament in PNG and spoke to Pacific Beat about the effects tuberculosis is having in his home country.
